Jen Jihye Shin (she/they) is a Korean diasporic community organizer with over a decade in recovery from addiction. A 2023 Periplus Fellow, she has received support from Anaphora Arts, Stove Works, Regional Arts & Culture Council, McCormack Writing Center, Vermont Studio Center, and the Carolyn Moore Writing Residency. Their essays can be found in The Offing, The Rumpus, Buckman Journal, and elsewhere. Based in Portland, Ore., they enjoy exploring the various confluences of food, art, and collective liberation.
